KOTO - Gateway to Nar-Phu

  • 2,620 meters

Koto is a pretty important village as it sits on the confluence of Marshyangdi and Nar rivers. If you take the trail towards the north then you are on your way to the Nar-Phu valley. If you are getting hints about getting on this trail then be warned, Nar-Phu valley trek requires another special permit. Therefore, you can't go into this valley with the permit you received for Annapurna Circuit. This is the reason why you will see a police check post and a police station in Quipar, Koto. Other than its importance as a crossroad to Nar-Phu, this little village is quite pleasant with a handful of decent lodges.
