  • 4,750 meters

Gokyo Kharka is a lesser known name of this stop. Named after the third lake the settlement now goes by the name of Gokyo. Once a grazing field for highland sherpas, now it is one of the most facilitated settlements of whole Everest region. And, as many travelers won’t deny, it truly is a piece of heaven in Everest.

The small lodge settlement of Gokyo rests beside the lake where water reflects the tallest mountain range of the planet. The view from here includes mountains like Cho Oyu and Pumori. Also, it is a popular rest place for travelers who intend to either immerse in the beauty and chill out or, visit nearby Gokyo Ri for one of the most extensive views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu. Also, you can reconnect with the world as Gokyo comes with paid wi-fi services.
